I am a Green Woodworker based in Oxfordshire with a passion for heritage craft. Many years ago I fell in love with Green Woodworking after spending time in the woods on a stool making course and have been hooked ever since. After a career teaching woodwork in schools I thought it was time to indulge my passion for green woodworking and heritage craft. Over the years I have been able to develop my skills, and love producing unique hand carved spoons, bowls and other greenwood products.
Green woodworking is an age old method of woodworking using hand tools and traditional methods and processes to work unseasoned and unprocessed wood. From carving with Axes and knives to using age old technology like Pole lathes and shave horses green woodworkers have been working for millennia to produce everything from buildings, furniture, bowls, spoons and much more.
The Woodshed is my woodworking workshop and studio, a converted sheep pen at the historic Home Farm in the beautiful village of Coleshill, Oxfordshire. The workshop provides me with the space to practice my craft and produce a range of wooden goods, many of which are on display and available for sale. I host spoon carving workshops at The Woodshed which are available to book, and you can even drop by the Workshop in person to browse my stock and have a chat.
I am available via email and telephone to support with any enquiries. If you would like to stop by The Woodshed for a visit, drop me a line for my availability.
